Locksmith’s Journeys
If this week’s post is a little late, it’s because I was saving it for this announcement.
The first draft of Locksmith’s Journeys is complete.
It has the usual problems of the middle story in a trilogy. It begins with a recapitulation of the previous book, goes in several different directions in the middle while filling in a lot of backstory and ends in a cliffhanger.

I know it from both sides. I have awaited the next installment of A Song of Ice and Fire, the Dresden Files, the Safehold series and “Now Blooms the Tudor Rose” as impatiently as anyone. (Not in the case of the 1632 series, but only because that particular fictional universe has branched out in so many directions I can’t possibly keep track of them all.)
